BINGHAMTON — The Edison softball team went 1-1 on the day at the Mary Testa Tournament at Greenlights Grand Slam Park on Saturday.

The Spartans topped Susquehanna Valley 3-1, before falling 5-1 to Elmira.

Milazzo allowed eight hits and struck out five, walking none and allowing one run in the win over Susquehanna Valley.

Kailey Ripley was 3-for-3, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored. Brianna Korsky had two hits, with a double and Emma Maggs had two hits, with a double.

Emily Aiello, Aurora Parlo, Milazzo, Maddison Pack, Maycie Bennett and Charlee Stroman all had hits for Edison.

Parlo scored a run in the game and Bennett and Stroman each had RBI in the game.

Against Edison the Express got a four-hitter from Ava Cornacchio on the mound, striking out two.

Edison got two hits from Milazzo and Parlo had a hit and an RBI, while Mariana Jones-Frosolone had a double.

Milazzo struck out four on the mound.

Lily Cornacchio was 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored for Elmira and Ava Sherman, Addison Taft and Ava Cornacchio all had two hits in the game.

Sherman scored two runs and Taft had a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Ryleigh Ogden had a triple adn two RBI and Annabelle Decker had a double.

Addisyn Chorney had a hit and an RBI and Aleida Agosto had a hit.
