JOHNSON CITY — The Elmira Express scored four first-inning runs on their way to a 10-1 win at Johnson City on Tuesday.

Bryce Mashanic worked five innings on the mound, striking out eight and allowing one run on one hit.

Jack Stemerman threw one inning with one strikeout, allowing no runs on one hit.

Michael Palmer had two hits, with a double, and two runs scored.

Ben Rhode, Ashtyn Traugott-Knoll, Brady Morrell, Mashanic and Logan Demember all had hits in the game.

Rhode scored three runs, walked three times and stole three bases and Morrell had two RBI and scored a run.

Traugott-Knoll scored a run and Mashanic had an RBI.

Demember had four RBI in the game and Quinn Hanrahan scored two runs, while Aedan Palmer scored a run in the game.

Elmira walked 13 times in the game.
