The Horseheads tennis team dropped their season opener on Tuesday against perennial power Ithaca, 7-0.

In first singles Zach Kathan fell 6-0, 6-0 to Aiden Xie and at second singles Ryan Burnes fell 6-0, 6-0 to Jonah Jacobstein.

At third singles Dominic Wood fell 6-2, 6-2 to Kieran Shulman, while at fourth singles Hayden Chatlani fell 3-6, 6-4, 5-7 to Eh Lay Htoo.

At first doubles Jacob Staats and Abdullah Javed fell 7-5, 6-2 to Orion Patio and KC Kniffin.

Joseph Juan and Cameron White fell 6-1, 6-1 to Theo Greenwald-Schaye and Makund Gaur.

Lincoln Chop and Nolan Bostwick fell 6-1, 6-1 to Owen Cryer and Aaron Martinez at third doubles.
