PROFESSIONAL HOCKEY: ELMIRA'S BEECHER SENT DOWN TO AHL (2024-03-24)

Despite his recent strong play, the numbers game means Elmira’s Johnny Beecher is headed back to the AHL.

With two players returning from injuries the Bruins sent two players down, one of them Beecher.

Beecher had recently returned to the Bruins lineup after being in the AHL since mid-January. He had a goal and an assist, and was strong on face-offs since his return. However, since he is exempt from waivers, it made him easier for the team to send down.

Beecher has had the second best face-off win percentage on the team at 53.9 percent, just behind Pavel Zacha (54%).
